Role of the Development Officers in Northern Province

Their Role: 

  • Serving as a Communication bridge for clients and service providers 
     

  • Focus on development and vulnerability imperatives of targeted citizen groups 

​​

  • Monitoring and Reporting Public Health Issues, Waste Disposal, Unauthorized Buildings or Structures, Public Nuisances and activities regarding Damages of Public Properties, Unauthorized Occupation in Public Places in their assigned wards. 

​​

  • Assist in Data gathering of Householder profiles and update details on development activities to enhance them. 

​​

  • Have updated information and closely work with all the Provincial Sectors of the Ministries and Departments (Agriculture, Health, Education, Cooperative, Social Services, Small and Medium Enterprises, Rural Development, Sports, Child Care and Women Empowerment), Liaise with Public and do Government Image Building. 

​​

  • Carrying out duties assigned by the Immediate Superior, Supervisor/ Head of the Department / Secretary/ Local Authority.
